Tailor Classic 2025 Terms & Conditions

2. Entry Conditions

Only tailor (Pomatomus saltatrix) catches are eligible. Entries showing other species will be disqualified.
All fish must be measured and photographed on the Alvey Brag Mat, available for purchase exclusively via the Alvey online store.
Each Brag Mat purchased can only be used by one entrant. The entrant must submit their order number to validate their entry. If the order number is not provided, the entry will be disqualified.
The image must clearly show the full fish, with the nose and tail visible on the mat.
The fish must be caught by the entrant; entries on behalf of others will be disqualified.
Each catch must be submitted via a separate entry form.
Unlimited entries are allowed during the promotional period.

3. Submission Guidelines

When you catch your Tailor simply lay the fish flat along the ruler with the nose touching the front tab, then taking the measurement from the longest part of the tail.
Photograph the fish so the entire length can be seen clearly in the photograph.
Photos must be in clear focus; any blurry or unclear measurement lines or obscured fish details may void the entry.
Image manipulation (e.g., Photoshop or filters altering the catch) will result in disqualification.
Entrants are encouraged to retake photos if not satisfied with clarity or framing.
Submissions must be made via the Alvey competition entry page.

5. Prizes

Total prize pool value: $770 RRP.
A grand prize will be awarded to the participant with the longest verified catch submitted during the competition period.
The winner of the grand prize will receive;

Two (2) Mystery Length Prizes will be awarded—one at the end of July, one at the end of August. The prize will go to the entry matching (or closest to) a pre-determined mystery length.
Each winner of the Mystery Length Prizes will receive;

6. Winner Notification

Winners will be announced via Alvey Reels’ social media channels (Facebook and Instagram).

Winners will also be contacted via email.
If a winner cannot be reached within 7 days, the prize may be awarded to the next eligible entry.

7. General Terms

Alvey Reels reserves the right to verify the validity of any entry and disqualify entrants who tamper with the entry process.
All decisions made by the competition committee are final.
By submitting an entry, you grant Alvey Reels the right to use submitted images in marketing or promotional material.

8. Governing Law:

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
